Lea View House, Hackney, 2009

Lea View House play area had large problems, a real lack of provision and a lot of dogs fouling the set play-area. As part of a Pathfinder project we changed the space, with the help of the young people, into an area where they felt ownership, and are now planning the next phases.

As part of the ongoing evaluation of the scheme Bob Hughes was asked to do an evaluation; here is a quote from his report:

“As far as interest and diversity are concerned a lead can be taken from Lea View House, which acts to attract children into it, to explore its possibilities.”
